I don't know how many stories you're going to get... I'd hazard a guess at saying back to back eagles doesn't happen all that often. At my home course, we have a pair of par 5's to finish.... 17 is quite reachable, 18 is a little harder considering you're looking at 220 or so dead uphill on the second shot. Closest I've ever come to back to back eagles is a lipped out 30 footer on 17 for eagle, followed by lipping out for eagle from a greenside trap on 18. Yes, I did make both the birdies.
You must be good. I posted this thread because I actually did get two in a row about 5 years ago. Not as impressive as yours would have been. It was on an Executive Course. Two short Par 4s in a row. 280 and 300 yards long. Easy as they were, I’ve yet to see or hear of anyone else doing it on those two. Short holes, but still required great drives and two 25+ foot putts.
The 2nd and 3rd at our course are both par 5's. Although I have never done it, I am sure someone may have made two eagles (though i imagine it highly unlikely if you were off the back tees).
Never done it personally, but got to watch one of my golfing buddies do it.
First was a par 4, about 340 yards. He hit his drive about 260, then holed a wedge! We were all excited for him, because at our playing level even ONE eagle is rare, especially to hole out from 80 yards. So, still giddy from the previous hole, we get to the next hole, a 510 yd par 5. He hit one of the best drives I've ever seen him hit, a nice little draw about 280. He then hit his 3 wood to the front of the green. Hole was cut about 30 feet back from the front edge on a left to right slope. He had that 30 foot putt for another eagle, and sank it! I thought he would wet his pants! He's had a hole-in-one since, but the back to back eagles is still the thing he talks about, and I don't blame him.
No, but I had 5 birdies in a row last time out, and the first one I had a 2 foot putt for eagle, missed, had a 4 footer coming back for birdie and made it
In the past year I have only had 2 eagles. One was an 8i out of the rough from 140 yards on a par 4, the other was a 56* out of the rough from about 30 yards on a par 5.
