rant: Totally lost my driver. I can't hit it for anything. my whole game has dissapeared, my last 3 rouds have been in the 90's, haven't had a round in the 90's in 2-3 years. Had a decent round going even i could't hti the driver again was 3 over after 5, than i hit a tripple on a par 3 and hit 3 total duffs, going maybe 100-150 yars about 2" off the ground (with fairway woods), so i picked up and quit. I need a lesson asap to get back on track /rant
Set a number to post that day say a 85 since your in the 90's for a few rounds. Then if you don't beat the 85 for every stroke after that you put 15 minutes of practice in after the round. So if you shot a 89 you would put in an hour of practice. I have started to do this because I get satisified after I post up a bunch of rounds in the 30's at my course so then If I fall back to 40-45 it is because I am not concentrating enough. So I set that up every stroke over 38 I practice 15 minutes on the short game. It works trust me, especially when your thinking about how much you don't want to practice after the round.
hmm, do they allow you to chip on to the green ? Where I play they have a green that I can chip to from about max 20 yards away and then it is also the only putting green to practice on. then there is a 100 yard field next to the club house that Is where I do the wedge shots.
I am actually shocked when I see someone else on the practice green. haha
We've all been there before - keep your chin up. I had this same thing happen to me in April, and after toying with my swing and this and that, I just said forget all this nonsense, cleared my head, and just started swinging the club. And lo and behold, it all came back!
Just give yourselve a mental breather and try to go with a fresh head to the practice tee next time and try to get back to just swinging like you had been.
I think i will just swing my weighted club with the grip trainer on it for the next few days, can't play till sunday evening anyway, we'll see. That pretty much what i did over the iwnter with occasonal trips to teh dome for some real swings.

I believe many golfers can say this. Don't fret. Sometimes your game goes south for no reason, it happens alot.
It sounds silly, but in the long run, this can work to your favor- knowing how to erase a slump- quickly. It happened to me. Everytime I'm really struggling, it's usually the result of over-swinging. I have a tendancy to try to kill the ball and swing "at" it and not "through' it. That instinctive trait finds it's way back unknowingly. I then immediately think rythem and timing, relax, and slow things down considerably, I think of a real "quiet" lower body, and NO tension.
Sometimes you just have to force yourself back. Now, when I start really striking the ball poorly, I know how to fix it. SLOW THINGS DOWN.
I have lost it and got it back just to lose it again more time than i care to remember, such a frsutrating game this golf is... but i love it even though it ruined my back when i am only 30. Oh well , price for an addiction, just stick to it and it will come back, i am hoping mine too as well :)
If you have the time and feel like driving a little - head west to Peek n Peak in Findlay, they have great self-service driving range and their lower (cheaper) course has a practice and chipping green (with a sand trap if I remember correctly). The upper course is superb (and pricey). I played it the week before the Nationwide Tour event there a few years back when they let the rough get deep.
