Yesterday, I was really hitting the ball well, for the most part; my drives were getting out there between 260 and 290 on the line I intended, but repeatedly when I reached my ball, I would find that it had bounced and rolled into the first cut of rough or under low-hanging bushes or up against a tree trunk. Every break I got was a bad one.
This sort of thing seems to happen too darn often. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I'm starting to believe that the golf gods hate me!
Happens to us all. Played a memner/guest tournament a few weeks ago at a local CC. Range hitting was great. Could not do a thing on the course. Guess they will bever ask me back.
the same happens to all of us. today, i hit a long drive on a hole but unfortunately it was a dogleg left. if i hit my usual (good) drive, i would have been in the middle of the fairway but this drive was too long and straight. because it was a dogleg left, my ball came to rest on the far side of the bend right behind a tree. of all the times to hit a drive like that, this had to be it!!!!
golf is a game invented by satan, not God's. God created everything in the world but two things. Satan created two things that would have no sense of reason, be misunderstood from one day to the next, one day everything is going great and the next nothing goes your way, leave you confused, take your money, and control your life. God told satan he could invent a perfect world, Satan told him he could mess it up with just three wishes. He still has one left.
Man I hate it when I hit em too long and straight :)
lol... sure is a nice problem to have... i feel his pain,though... it's like hitting it straight when you want to hit a draw and hitting a draw when you want to hit it straight...
