Angry Completely lost my iron game.

Yesterday I was hitting my irons the best I have ever hit them, I was on my way to my best 9 ever, par on the first 2, but triple bogied the 3rd (I know, it was too early to tell if I was going to do my best, but I had that feeling) I tried to play a miracle shot with my PW over a tree to try and go right at the pin rather than punching under and leaving it short right for an easy chip and putt for bogey at worst. Ended up hitting off of the hosel I guess and it went straight right and into the woods so I had to punch out backwards from there. Ended up bogeying 5 of the last 6 because I was frustrated and some idiots in front of us would take like 20 minutes before hitting a shot and they wouldn't let us play through. Ended up with a 43, 3 shots from tieing my best. I was still hitting great iron shots, my driver was failing me. Well, today I went to get fitted for some PINGs, couldn't even go through the fitting process because I didn't even get a ball in the air. I was hitting everything either off the toe, and it was going way right and less than 100 yards (this is with the 6 iron, which when I did catch it good it was going to the 172 yard flag), or I would hit it way fat, like 6 inches behind the ball, or hit it off the hozzel(sp?) I couldn't figure it out, the guy had to go somewhere so I got a huge bucket of balls to try and straighten it out. Hit a bunch of bad shots. But then started nailing them out the the 172 yard flag (slight tail wind, probably would have been a little over 160 with no wind) I hit about 10 in a row, and decided it was good enough so I went in and got a drink, came back out and started hitting horrible. Eventually a teaching pro came out and was giving me free advice, but even he couldn't get me straightened out. I don't know what I was doing. I'll just chalk it up to a bad day I guess, maybe I was just tired. I might have tried to change my swing for the new club though because he gave me an i5 to warm up with and it was a lot, and I mean a lot more upright than my clubs. I am going early Thursday and we are going to stay out on the course all day so hopefully I will get it straightened out. This was one of those days that makes you wonder if you really should be playing golf.
