Finally broke 100!!

with the lessons that i've been taking and the amount of golf i've been playing (every day this week) it had to happen eventually.

i finally broke 100!! i played brookledge golf course in cuyahoga falls (par 71) this past week and my results are as follows:

monday i shot 101.
tuesday i did it. i shot 90. 45 on the front and the back.
wednesday i shot 99.
thursday i shot 96. hit my best ever drive. 288 yards on the last hole and got wet putting out as it absolutely poured.
friday i shot 90. played the back 9 first and it was a very messy 52. but i absolutely smoked the front 9 with a 38 (3 over par). don't know where that came from but i was ecstatic.

it's a great feeling to be able to (hopefully) leave the 100 plus scores behind. i still have a lot of work to do (driver, putting, chipping) but i think i have just become even more hooked on this game.

Nice job! Good week too, with two 90's. That's pretty solid. And the beautiful thing is you know you left a couple of strokes out there, which is the hook that brings you back.

I've never shot over 99, so it feels like I missed out on something.. I wish I would have played 18 when I was younger so I would know what it felt like to break 100. I don't remember when I broke 90 or 80, but I do remember when I broke 70. That was a good feeling, I guess.

This time last year i was averaging 102 and now i average 85,my first break of 100 was 97,getting 90 for you is a massive jump from the 100,s,i occassionally hit in the 90,s but very rarely,i notice that if you shoot average 87 or 97 then bad round takes you to 90,s or 100,s,when you hit constant 92 or 82 you tend not to jump back up,i see a score of 87,88,89 coming your way soon,i average 85 but scored 82 last week,my score has came down by practising short game,i putt 25 footers within one or two feet and sometimes put them straight in,hoping for 70,s soon

Way to go!

Here is mwfaith1971's scorecard from when he first broke 100! Almost broke 90...

http://www.mygolfdomain.com/round_view.php?round=2513

mwfaith1971 has easily been playing break 100 golf lately. Check out this recent scorecard. He shot a 38 on the front nine.

That is 70's golf!

http://www.mygolfdomain.com/round_view.php?round=2559

Let us know when you break 80...might not be long.
