Has anyone herd anything new about the pairing for this weekends championship match. I herd Woods and Mickleson might be paired. That would be awesome. I've been going to http://www.pga.com to try to get info, i haven’t found much.
They are paired together for the first two rounds, I believe. Jeff Ogilvy joins them. This is traditional at the PGA as they are the most recent winners of the last 3 majors.
theyre startin at 830 on the back 9 thurs and 1200 or somethin on the front fri... hopefully mickey and ogilvy will play well because tiger always plays welll...
The PGA Championship (and some other tournaments) were match play at one time, but TV, sponsors and galleries want more than two players on the course Sunday afternoon. Match play has become the province of amateur tournaments now, albeit rather few of them.
