Well, ive been challenged by one of my fathers buddies for $25 and i play the front tees at the course ive played all year and he plays the tips. I think its a dumb move on his part because he hasnt played there nearly as much and its a great move for me because i played the tips yesterday there and shot an 86 and if i wouldve been playing the front tees i could probably shoot close to even par or under with hitting almost every green in regulation becuase the course is so short. I will probably crush him although he does have a 7 handicap becuase i know my way around the course MUCH better... Any thoughts?
well if i won he would just be paying for my greens fee which is probably going to happen seeing he has only been playing for 2 years or so but if i lose ill be devistated because it is such and easy course...
If you do win, make sure you offer up a drink or soda at the end of the match for sportsmanship. It will take some of the sting out of him. Good luck........by the way, if you lose, you'll probably not get an offer for a drink.....

How does 86 from the tips become even par from the front tees? How big of difference is it. And is this match handicapped or not.
How much more than $25 are willing to bet? My guess is that $25 is just the starting point and he'll try to push the bet up to higher point until your nerves start affecting your game due to the size of the potential loss. In the book How to Win at Golf without Actually Playing Well the author says this was a favorite tactic of Howard Hughes. If you haven't read the book I'd recommend taking two hours to read it, it's a fun read, before playing him in case he has read it. Your local library probably has a copy. If he hasn't read it you'll be armed with some subtle strategies you can use it necessary.

because its like 2500 yard difference and i can drive atleast 3 of the greens, reach all teh par 5s in two, and i dont have to hit over any water. And i think i would be giving him a stroke on the 4th hole and the 13th hole (the two hardest) and i have 4 par 5s and he has 3... My 4th is a 366 yarder!!! I will have about 100 so i can stick it when he has like 130 and he has to two putt for par where i can 2 putt for birder

So, you're talking about the FRONT FRONT tees? As in the women's tees?
