NON_SERIOUS PLEDGE FOR THE WEEKEND (any weekend!)

Well, since there is a pledge for folks that wish to follow every rule of golf down to a

tee (pun intended!), I thought the rest of us could use a separate pledge!

==================Hacker's Pledge==========================

I, (State your Full Name, or your Nickname, or whatever suits you), hereby solemnly and

deliberately without much forethought do swear and affirm under oath and the threat of

bad weather, that I wll do the following while playing golf:

1) Show up at least a few mintues before my tee-time.

2) Have plenty of golf balls so I don't have to borrow any.

3) Have adequate funds to cover any wagers made, refreshments consumed, and tips required, as well as the required green fees.

4) Make sure everybody in the group agrees on the "rules du jour". I will not clean and place my ball in the fairway, or take a mulligan off the tee, or other such harmless breaches of "THE RULES" unless it is agreed upon beforehand.

5) I will enjoy myself and the company of my friends as we take our frustrations and stress out on a little white ball. And the occasional club. Or ball washer. Or small rodent.

6) I will play "ready golf", and do my best not to be a hindrance to my fellow golfers who are behind me. If that means letting them play through, so be it. If my buddies feel like telling me that 6 inch putt is a gimme, so be it. If I can't find the ball that I KNOW I hit behind the bush, I'll drop where it entered and penalize myself in whatever way everyone feels is equitable.

7) I will buy a round after the game if you will.

8) I swear I have never completely finished a game of Monopoly.

Sworn to and witnessed by the entire Internet on this day ____________________.

You can use a range finder, but not like League does! We'd be kicked of GR if we discussed how he's been using that range finder!

I wish my group would have made this pledge before our 5:15 round a few days ago.
