West Coast Golf course with Highway ???

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and am trying to answer a question for a new visitor to the U.S. He's from Thailand and is trying to find the name of a golf course on the west coast with the distinguishing feature of a highway running through it. This is the only information he has. Anyone play such a course, or know its name?

Thanks for the help.
- George

Might be able to help out with just a little more information. Does the ocean border the course? Is the highway a 2 lane road or interstate? Is it California, Oregon, or Washington?

Highway 1 runs between Sharp Park GC in Pacifica, on the coast, a few miles south of San Francisco.
It doesn't actually run "through" it, more like over it.

Hope that helps some...

I played a course in Palm Springs a few years back that had a highway overpass bisecting it. You may need to narrow down the region a little.

thanks a lot for the replies. I'll try to see if there's any other info I can get to narrow it down.

If your friend was still in Thailand when he heard of the course, chances are it's a high end resort. Something along the lines of Trump National in Los Angeles and Pelican Hill In Newport Beach have the ocean on one side and Pacific Coast Highway on the other side (Although Pelican is now closed), Pebble Beach with 17 Mile Drive, or perhaps Badon Dunes in Oregon. Chances are it's not a inland type course if it's getting worldwide attention.
