My 97 year old father is having surgery for colon cancer on Thursday in Louisville, KY. I'll have no computer access until Saturday so hit 'em long and straight, and keep us on your prayer list.
Dad should be out of ICU today, but he had a minor setback yesterday. He had a bit of a violent reaction to his pain meds. He's been hallucinating for a couple of days. This should all go away as they reduce the doses.
I went to hold him down and he warned me the back up or I was going to get hurt. This is one strong-willed 97 year old.
Thanks for all the prayers. Now pray that I get some rest to continue this journey.
Dad was moved out of ICU yesterday and is doing a bit better. He has an infection in his incision so they removed a few staples yesterday to allow it to drain. Antibiotics are being administered and the incision is being clean twice daily.
