It is very wet and humid here and the two best grips I have found for wet play are the Golf Pride tour velvet and player's softie...

It is kind of tough with the standing water and high winds...lol. No score other than "matchplay" with the group that is dumb enough to go out. Although there are positives...no slow play and we usually only take 1 club so not a lot of weight to carry either.

I haven't had a problem with Tour Velvets and FJ rain gloves.

Light rain isn't a problem. Where I live a little rain falls on a lot of rounds. I've played more than a few days with a steady drizzle using rain gloves. Check with your pro shop or golf outlet, many of them carry rain gloves for about $15.

Most courses do have horns or something so if you are on the back nine you will know if lightening has been seen.

Also most courses wont let the power carts out when it is raining or when it has recently rained becuase it tears up the grass...

Our course will let the carts out, but "Cart Paths Only". I prefer to walk anyway and when it is cart paths only, it is faster just to walk.
