Kauai: Poipu Bay or Princeville and why?

If you were to choose one, which would it be and why?

Ok, I've played both.

Poipu Bay:

Fair
Enjoyable
Picturesque beyond belief
Comfortable
Extremely playable

Princeville:

Awkward
Daunting first hole
Numerous unfair holes
Minimal views
Mediocre experience at best

The two courses are so diametrically opposed it's not even funny. I know I am being a bit harsh, but I seriously couldn't stand Princeville. Whereas Poipu was one of the best golfing experiences I've ever had. I even played it twice.

I don't know if the price of the two is a factor. I was on my honeymoon and money was not an object (for those 2 weeks anyway ). I seem to remember Princeville being more $$$.

If you want to talk more about the courses I can be more specific if you want, just PM me!

Are you asking what my definition of an unfair hole is OR are you asking which holes at Princeville are unfair?

I'm wondering which holes or why you thought they were unfair. I played there in 2002 and didn't have those feelings.

One of the par-4's on the back required a 180 tee shot to lay up before a swamp, followed by a 200+ yard uphill approach to a green surrounded on 3 sides by a swamp.

I also thought the tee shot on hole 1 was a bit silly. Long and downhill to a tiny landing area.

And there were others...
