That's what I was wondering. I live in College Station, it's a great town. When would you come to Aggieland?

I'm a sophmore now, so in 2 1/2 years. I went up there to go to the basketball game today, though. I love College Station. Most of my family has gone there.

Bro we will take a 42-45 shooter any day next year if you want to move to sunny south florida you let me know! We are a guy short next year and I have to work with someone whos never played before and get him into 90s shape before next august! You would probably get the #3 spot behind me and a good friend on mine. Trust me man you would start for sure especially if your a sophmore of junior.

Best of luck to you and btw dont let the pressure get to you like it did me this year I didnt even get an Honorable Mention! I broke 44 just once!!!!

Omar

Congrats bro.

I'm going to be a senior and on the golf team for my second year in the spring. If it were to start today I'd be 41-42. Would like to get that in the 30's if possible.

Yeah that's the way most of the schools in my schoold district are. But ours won the district tournament by 50 shots and JV came in second. They played an early tournament and the highest score was 88.

Aggiefreak, congrats. Don't fret about not being in the top 10. I hope the coach has a democratic method of people qualifying to stay in, or get bumped out of, the top 10, to give you a chance to get in during the upcoming year. I can't believe the team is 'as is' for the entire season. As a freshman, my son was the '6th man' on a 5-man varsity h.s. roster and played the first 4 tournaments as a JV. But the coach had a method whereby anyone on varsity shooting out of the 70's (i.e., 80 or worse) had to 'qualify' against the top JV contenders during the next practice(s). If they didn't do better there as well, then they got 'bumped' by the next lower ranking players so my son ended up playing the last 4-5 tournaments as a varsity player and went to the state finals as well as part of the varsity team.

Do you play any tournaments in the TJGT or HGA junior series? Was wondering about the HGA as we see they have a Christmas break tournament and we're inquiring about that.

Lots of pressure though, because if I wouldn't have made it I wouldn't have been able to take golf the next semester. So basically it was 18 holes for 4 months of golf.

Not really a point to this thread, but I'm relieved I made the team.

You haven't met our coach. He's pretty unfair and retiring next year. I think the only way that I can move up is if in one of the tournaments I play in as a medalist or if somebody fails, I shoot lower than their stroke average.

As for the HGA, yes I've played in the summer league for 2 years. I've never played in the Christmas break tournament (Roundup I think?). Even though I don't have much of a chance at winning tournaments due to the sheer number of golfers (60+ at each tournament, some of whom who shoot around or below par) it's great to have a tournament setting and to play some of the courses that I wouldn't have a chance to otherwise.
