Well, since we're measuring and comparing our manhood, 360 in the middle of the summer on a hard fairway. Average is 255 (measuring both into the wind and downwind shots).
No GPS measurements but 275-280 tops and that includes carry and roll. Average is more like 250 or so. You guys are making me feel my age. Turned 60 a few months ago. But I'm happy with my distance and happy with my game. USGA index is 6.2 but like everyone, I'm always striving to get better.

If you're going by actual hole yardage my longest is 370 center of the green. It's a very greenable downhill par 4. But that's pretty deceiving as my normal drive is in the 270 range.
I don't really know: When on the course I only worry about the distance left (and I have always thought that the course yardages were measured 'crookedly', along the shape of the fairway, not based on the straight-line path, which makes estimating actual yardage hit on a drive less then straightforward: Is this correct???). On an into-the-prevailing-wind driving range I have never reached 300 marker with a good drive (but I have exceeded it with pulls). On other 'more flattering' driving ranges the nets catch the ball at 250, or I cannot tell how far the ball (would have) travelled for other reasons. And frankly I don't even care: In golf 'How close?' is a lot more important than 'How far?'!

Yep, you're right on all accounts, but that's a topic for another thread!
If the hole is 500 yards but a big dog leg that you can go over and cut off 100 yards, just because you're 150 yards out from the green doesn't mean you hit it 350 yards. Or like in my case, just because I can reach that hole at 370 yards, even though it is a straight away hole, it is downhill, so eventhough my ball actually does travel 370 yards (no dog leg), the distance is skewed.
But you are right. It's been my experience that the more you worry about your driver distance, the worse your scores are. You don't see to many scratch golfers loosing sleep cause they hit is 260 yards opposed to 280...it comes down to the fact that they are still scratch golfers.
My longest was this summer on a flat, rock hard fairway...340...reached in two and three putted...isn't that just the way?!?!?
My average doesn't exist in the last 6 weeks...can't hit the driver consistently enough to play it on the course, despite lessons and hours of practice...really something of a puzzle after averaging 70-80% fairways earlier in the year...
I've hit a few over 300 yards, but that's using the yardage markers on the course to go by (plaque on tee says 450 yards, wind up inside the 150-yard marker on the fairway, straight hole.) These are rare and far between pured shots, sometimes a helping wind. My usal tee shot is 250-260 yards, very little, if any, roll as I usually have a slight fade. I've won one long drive competition in a scramble tourney. Length of my winning drive was only 250 yards on a slightly uphill, narrow fairway. One condition of the winning drive - had to be in the fairway. So, as is usually the case, a 250 yard drive down the middle is better than a 300 yard drive into the trees!
By the way, I may have to come back and update this post in the near future! I received my brand new, custom built driver yesterday from Christian at Solid Rock Golf. He took the Bang Storm head I won in the Custom Golf Sales contest (which he stepped in and procurred for me from Bang!) and matched it to an AccuLAUNCH 70 Stiff shaft, spine-aligned, then put a matching Winn grip on for added effect. Beautiful club! I will be posting pictures soon, I promise, and a report on how it has miraculously changed my game!

Errr... cough!!!... Incx, I tried everything to book you a ticket to come over and play against me as promised - I even tried to bribe a few pilots with liquor & women but... cough!!!... all the flights are booked up - really - 'till 2017. You must believe me!! Anyway, I'm not feeling so well, and...
PS: I'm 275 - tops.
