Practice greens harder than course greens?

I haven't been playing that long and the local course practice greens seem harder to putt on than the course greens.More difficult pin placement ect.Would you say this is usually true?

I hate practice greens that are ALL slopes and no flat putts, thats just stupid.....But a lot of times the practice greens are nicer, because they dont allow chipping or pitching, and they are in better shape...

I agree with nikerep. Its dumb if they are all break but on the other side I like where I can take a long putt with break and work on accuracy that way. I also agree that they are nicer due to no chippin.

i always use practice greens. before a round, i only use them to get a feel for my putter. don't putt on the practice green for an hour and sink all the putts and think that all of the course greens are gonna be just like that. you'll lose a lot of strokes that way.

If this is towards me I dont spend an hour I go on make 5 or so putts till I feel good and go. Many times I dont get to do this due to bein late and Ill jump up to the tee and go.

Alright sorry if I sound slightly angry I wasnt it was just poor word choice. To elaborate on what I said above I take 2 putts straight from about 10ft out then go to one end of the green and putt across it on this part that breaks pretty good it is a VERY hard putt as it is double break but breaks a good bit more one way and its downhill. Gotta be dead on to make it.

I love shortgame and I practice it daily. I have a puttin mat upstairs and putt daily and do little chips and pitches. Im glad folks dont know about the short pitches. I only have one goal with these and thats spin try and land it close to the little hole and get it to not go past the hole. Really gets you to spin the ball.
