I'm a really big fan of the Bridgestone B330-S. Its a lot softer than its brother the B330 but still very long. I'm in love with its feel off of my putter and wedges.
I like the Titleist SOLO and the Noodle. Both are pretty soft for work around the greens and don't make you broke when you buy them.. To be honest, I very seldom ever buy a ball. Too many bad players with Pro V1's at my club. I'll bet I average finding 4 or 5 per round just walking along the edges of the fairways and along the creek on my way to my tee shot.
Since I seldom lose a ball, just retire them with age, my ball stash keeps growing. I end up giving the scrubs away to friends who are just starting to play.

suggestions.

It's true the ball makes a difference in spin, but the golfer still has to swing in such a way to create the spin. If you're not getting the performance around the green that you would like, I would say that simply switching balls isn't going to show you a major improvement.
But for the sake of the topic, ProV1 or Callaway HX Tour 56.
The Hogan Hawk has a pretty soft cover, reacts well around the green is only $24 a dozen. I think it's the best ball for the money....but they don't help with spelling and punctuation.
There are some great closeout deals going on, particularly with the Maxfli Black Max (their premium ball the last two seasons). I think you can scrounge some up off the internet for under $25/doz (regularly $44).
Another good deal was in the Golfsmith catalogue, HX Tour practice balls for like $20/dozen (or similar pricing). There's really no difference in the practice balls or the regulars, except you can't play practice balls in formal tournaments.
Both those balls are excellent, especially for that price.
cheers guys i was plying with prov 1's but they were grate and long of the tee but i couldent get approch shots to stick to hard for me im gonna go up to the nxt tour think thta will help.
cheers guys
Changing the ball will help a bit but not that much if your technique is wrong. If you can't get any action on your wedge shots with Pro Vs then it's unlikely that you'll notice any change if you change balls. You also need help from the greens......remember that the pros play on much better greens that will show spin up much better....oh and of course they strike the ball much better and have great technique.
I agree with above. Like I said before, it's got to do more with technique than it does what ball you're using, but if you are not spinning the ball with a ProV, then you wont spin it with something else. It's either that the greens you're playing are just to hard to get some good spin, or your technique is wrong.
