Does this happen to anyone else, every winter I seem to loose my swing and it takes forever to "find" it again. Or to put it another way, I seem to just start playing half way decent towards fall, and then in the spring it's like I have to start all over again.

OH absolutely...Every year in college our team would go to spring break, without touching a club for 3 months and we would all go shoot a million! It was funny because everyone was playing so bad and we always played the hardest course I have ever played on in Florida called Orange Tree Country Club....But yea....It's just like anything though...If you dont practice, everything goes to pot....My short game touch is the worst.....

I'm confused...did you lose your swing or is it just a little loose?

Been playing for nine years and i would agree, every winter i seem to lose my swing. It's a hard thing to do but i might give it a rest for 6 weeks or so.
Shoot, I don't have an off season to blame losing my swing on! If I don't play for a week or two I feel like I'm starting over!
I'd be more than happy to oblige if you keep up the braggadocio.
BTW, winter is a time to refresh your swing and get rid of the poor habits you ingrain over the course of the season. I usually play pretty well early in the spring...at least for a round or two.

I'm a big target, but I doubt you could hit me from there! And if you were brave enough to head down here where it's nice and warm and there's no off season, wouldn't you rather play golf on a beautiful sunny Florida day than risk your life shooting at a Floridian who knows he has the right to use deadly force to protect himself, and knows how to? (I may not hit my driver straight, but I can always put 7 shots center mass with my .45!)

Consider yourself lucky, I lose mine between the tee box and my approach shot on occasion . . .

I have the same problem... Lose and Loose!
Do you have any heated driving ranges near you? We have one nearby, so I try to go even once a week, to keep some semblance of a swing. We have been lucky in NY and its been warm enough to practice. If it gets to around 20 degrees or less, the heaters really don't help at all.
Another thing to do is to swing in the house, if you have high enough ceilings. Just the movements of the swing will at least help you keep some rhythym and muscle memory.
And my fave of the options, take a trip down south for a few days. I take one golf trip a year to try to work on my game for a few days. This year is Florida. (although I am steering clear of Inconsistent on the West Coast!!)

I can almost guarantee that one round of golf with me, and you'll feel much better about your game!

Well, I may need to enlist the help of the North Korean nuclear arms program manual....hey, they hit the ocean from 25 miles, didn't they?
Unfortunately, although my shooting skills are reasonable, my driving skills are considerably more marginal...
That's pretty standard if you don't do anything in the offseason. Yout muscles are stiff, your timing is off, and MOST IMPORTANTLY you do not have the finess around the greens with your short game and putting. Need to practise in the winter!
