I guess this is one of the advantages of being in the Military. Our green fees are cheap. Not a bad course for where I'm at neither. I'm in japan right now and I'm only paying 30 for a round of golf and that's with cart included. I wonder if its going to be around the same price for when I move to Colorado Springs. I know they have a few military bases in that area and I know the US Air Force Academy has to 18 holes on campus.
Here in Pa we average 40.00 to 50.00 for a really nice course on the weekend. I walk a local 9 for 12.00 . eleven for league nite. There is a course 25 mile away that looks good online that has a summer special 21 for 18 with a cart on fridays we are going to check out 26 other weekdays. i guess we have it pretty good so far but with the way the economy is going rates are sure to jump.. Steve
16.00 for 18 - 16.00 for cart, 14.00 for rental (Always has buy 1 get 1 in newspaper) thats for the 3 muni's... 1 is reallly nice, 1 is decent and 1 i hate :)
Another place is 55.00 for 18 with cart but on tuesday if u book online you get it for 20.00 (which i got for tommorow) and everyday before 8am you can play for 32.00
Another nice place is 55 with cart, but they do a 2 for 34.00 coupon in the paper.
our local paper on thursday runs a 1 page add with nothing but golf specials for all the local tracks.
I don't know if other states have this, but every year we have a "Golf Minnesota" magazine that comes out, and it is filled with about 50 or so coupons to courses in every part of the state. Most of the coupons are buy one get one free greens fees. So if you are looking at a 60$/round course, you end up paying 30 each for greens fees, and then 15 or so for cart. So 45 instead of 75. Not bad. The magazine costs about 8 bucks too, so if you use one coupon, you get your moneys worth.
and OP, you say you are from San Diego? Have you ever played a course, I think it's called Steel canyon, or something like that. My brother played there years ago and raved about the elevation changes.
