Club Question Concerning New Clubs \ Old Clubs

I'm pretty sure I will get some valuable info on this question ...
If you buy a new set of clubs , do you stop using your previous club set asap or do you practice with the new ones on the range ,then graudually start using the new clubs on the course after a considerate time of using them on the practice reange ?
I own two sets of golf clubs , one that I keep at my mother's house, then the new ones that I play with reguarly.
I keep a set of clubs at my mom's house, because when we go home to mom's , it is a 110 miles trip & I found it more conveinent to leave the older set at mom's house then tote the other clubs with us.
Just curious to hear from new guys.

It would depend on how your practice session goes. I would think that the reason that you purchased the new clubs was due to the confidence that they give you. Try them out on the range and just put them into play. The range time will give you some idea if the playing characteristics are very different from your old set (you hit the 8 iron 155 instead of 150). Just start enjoying your new set.

I would be will be willing to bet though that if you chart your average for several rounds at a particular course with your old clubs and your average with your new clubs, you will be pretty close regardless of which clubs you play.

when i buy my new irons, i plan on taking them to the range for about a week before hitting the course. get a feel for them and become comfortable, then give 'em the ultimate test...

I bought new irons and immediately gave away my old irons. The new ones were so much better than my previous set that there was no reason to keep the old ones. My case may be extreme, but my new irons just fit me much better. Once I hit them, I knew the old irons were done.
