Hmmmm, I don't really have any superstitions that I follow. I've read that after each birdie, Ernie Els will use a different ball because "each ball only has one birdie in it." Maybe that's what I'm doing wrong! :D

I have one I guess...never really saw it as a superstition until a buddy of mine brought it to my attention though. I will never let my putter grip touch the ground in any type of conditions, I will either put a tee in the ground and lay it on that or just leave it in my bag until I'm on the green.

Unfortunatley for me I would be able to use the same ball for many rounds :(

I try to never shoot a round below par. I don't know if it's a legitimate superstition or not.

Maybe a few

When I approach the green I put my glove in my pocket first, followed by the putter headcover.

If I've made a pretty good putt on the previous hole, I'll make sure I use the same coin to mark the ball on the next green.

I'll never tell anyone they're having a good round until the round is over. Kind of a variation on the "no hitter" superstition. I'll tell them "nice shot," etc... during the round, but thats it.

I'll never tell anyone what they need on the last hole to break 80, 90, or whatever their goal is, unless they ask.

Probably a lot more than I'm not aware of right now.

I put my tees and ballmark repair tool in my right pocket, 2 balls and a ball marker in my left pocket, and nothing else in any other pockets - throws off my weight distribution...

I have a routine I try to follow when I'm playing well, but no real superstitions. If there are any superstitions out there that will help improve my golf game.....I'll pay big money for sharing the "mojo".

Used to have so many superstitions, that I can't remember them all. Then I realized I just plain **** . So now I just stick the tee in the ground and hack as fast as I can. Is playing fast a superstition?

Hmmmm, maybe. For a while, I tried that. Whenever I had a birdie putt, I'd just line it up real quick and hit it. Before, I'd get about a birdie a round but would get about 8 chances which would mean 7 instances of dissappointment. So I tried to "not try" so I wouldn't feel very dissappointed after. It worked. My dissappointment dropped but the number of birdies I made did, too.

One superstition I have is when I tee the ball. I put it in the ground so the line with say, "Pro V1 392" is lined upside down facing my target. Then the number of the ball is upside down facing me. I'm not sure if I explained that well.

You lost me victory! I guess as long as the ball didn't go upsidedown after you hit it, it sounds like that superstition works for you ;)

I don't have any superstitions. I do have routines for addressing shots. I have heard Ernie Els say that after a birdie, he gets a new ball, since he says there is only one birdie in a ball.

I always use only red and white tees and mark my ball with a 1989 cnaadian penny.
I always put the same mark on my ball as well. I never really line up someone my ball with where i want my ball to go or where i am gonna aim. I always line it up so that i will hit it right on the "Titleist" name on the ball or whatever brand of ball i am using.

Well, I've heard of guys that will only play a ball with a certain number on it, say 4 or 3, but never 7 or 8...lol. I always keep change and ball marks in the same pockets, but **** , I do that even when I'm not playin' golf (the divot fixer floats around ). I used to have one way back in high school....always use a pink tee for clutch drives.

That's funny about how you folks tee up the ball... mainly because, even though I've only been playing a few months, I always put the ball on the tee the same way: Ball brand facing up so I can read it, with the ball model (Pro V1, etc.) to the right. Other than that, no superstitions (yet) that I can think of.
