i dont think today's group would go down in history.......seems like a lot of younger newer guys come out on top of some big tournaments that are supposed to be won by guys like Tiger.....what would you say today's group is???

today's group is vijay, ernie, phil, and tiger........a pretty impressive foursome if you ask me........i'd put them up against nicklaus, palmer, player, and watson..........i think the older guys may have an edge, but not by much

Vijay, Ernie, Phil and Tiger are definitely impressive. I looked at each foursomes major wins and it came to:

Vijay Singh, 3 majors
Ernie Els, 3 majors
Tiger Woods, 12 majors
Phil Mickelson, 3 majors

They still have a lot of golf left in them but:

Gary Player, 9 majors
Arnold Palmer, 7 majors
Jack Nicklaus, 18 majors
Tom Watson, 8 majors

Pretty imposing stats there.
