New shot for me..

Well..played today..was playing GOOD..got to the 15th..wind dead in our face..plays downhill about 468 i think..345 to the "waste" area in the fairway..well..i had been hitting my driver good all day..but a little higher than normal..and i HAD to keep the ball down but needed to be long to give myself a good shot at birdie..well...I decided to hit my driver off the deck..I have tried the shot on the range a few times and hit it great..so i thought..why not..so i let it rip..AB-SO-LUTELY smashed it..got down looking for my ball..i must have got a GREAT kick..because it was 5-8 yards from the waste area..i was like..heck yes..So on 18 i did it again..same result just not as long..so..i just added a new shot to my bag i guess..lol..just wondered..anyone else ever try this off the tee?..Its weird i got such a great feel from the shot with my driver sweetspot not being low..but hey..if it works..it works..

I'm not that good of a ball striker to accomplish that shot. I have a hard time hitting a 3 wood of the deck. Ball striking is one part of my game that I'm trying to improve.

Ya..i have fairly good ball striking..but the shot is not as hard as it seems to be..or it might have helped that ive practiced it..it will DEFINATELY become a shot i use more often..but mis..thats always a part of the game u can work on and get better...
