Golf Trip 3 weeks away

I posted a few times about my trip (my groups) to Myrtle Beach, we do it every year. It's just around the corner, everyone is paid up, the trip is paid for, the weather has been nice, the course look great.

How the heck am I supposed to focus at work for 3 more weeks? I have been playing every other weekend locally, which really doesn't seem to compare of course.

My question is about a little golf/wager game called Lone Wolf. I played it a few weeks back, but didn't really understand the rules. (was for low money) Does anyone have, or able to send me the rules for this game. It was a blast, and I am not a very good golfer, but the game was very fair and made golf even more fun that it usually is.

that's a pretty good explanation of the rules of Wolf........as far as betting goes, i've played as cheap as 25cents a dot.....and as expensive as 5 dollars a dot.......(a dot being the term we give to both members of the team for winning a hole)....we generally add extra "dots" though, one for birdies (just the player who birdies it, not the other team member), one for "greenies"(closest to the hole on a par 3, as long as they don't 3-putt).....and we also take a dot away if you 3-putt.......i've played w/ some people that give dots for "sandies"(up and down out of a bunker).....i'm sure there are many variations of betting for this game, but no matter how you play it, it's always fun.......hope this helps, let us know if you need more of an explanation, i play this game all the time

Hope you have a great time at Myrtle Beach. Wish I could check that place out myself.

Easy! Maybe you can get the yardage books for the courses you're going to play and map out strategies. Think of interesting side bets. You did want to know how you would be able to focus AT work and not ON work, right?

Re: Check this out

You might want to go to Myrtle Beach Golf Association to get a rundown on the courses you will be playing. Very good site and honest as the day is long. I live in North Myrtle and use regularly.

Yup, I use Myrtle Beach Golf Association all the time and e-mail them a few times. Great guys with great information.

Of course, as the date approaches, World Tour changes their aeration times to the day before we play there. I hustled, did some research and we replaced it with Thistle. It looks AWESOME, what a great golf course web site, make sure to check out the slide show.

Thistle is awesome and is one of my favorite courses (of the ones I've played.) I don't think you will be disappointed.

Be sure to let us know what courses you played and how they were.
