My current thinking on Pelz: T.M.I.,
Too
Much
Information, albeit some otherwise very good information. I'm mainly referring to his
Short Game Bible and his recommendations about carrying four wedges and what to do with all of them. For newer and/or marginally skilled golfers, it's just too much to process...far better to have one or two clubs you believe in than four that you have to choose between for any given shot. Highly skilled players might benefit from his instruction--Phil, of course, is a whiz with his wedges--but the rest of us mere mortals might be better off simplifying things.
