Hey guys just wanted to share that i got my first eagle ever today. I was playing with two friends at the local 36 hole course on the back nine. It was number 16 which is a 505 par 5. I drove the ball perfect just over a sand trap that is about 250 out. I then hit a three wood pin high in the rough to the right of the green. Pulled out the old pitching wedge and sure enough my chip hit right off the pin and into the cup! I threw my club in the air and ran up to my ball. Im sure its not that big of a deal but i was pumped!
From one Buckeye to another good job! What course were you playing? Im trying to think of 36 hole courses and all I can think of is Indian Springs in Mechanicsburg..
Congratulations on the eagle! I still remember my first. I tried to save the ball from it but one day, I ran out of balls and had to put it in to play. Lost it a few holes later.
Eagles are always a great thing. I play in the sigle digits and only have 1 so far in 26 rounds... Mind you it was a 330 yard par 4 playing downwind, but still... drove the ball to 3 feet, picked up a greenie, and away I went....
I get my share of opportunities, but depending on pin locations, I figure I can make 4 on the par 5's from 100 yards out, just as easy as from the rough beside the green. I guess I don't 'gamble' enough, I hate bogies, and relly hate doubles.... ugh Those things are a quick recipe for card disaster...Although once they happen, you have to move on.. I shot 75 this year being +6 after nine and then -2 the second nine.... makes you wonder????

I was playing a course called The Woods in Van Wert, Ohio. Its about 30 minutes west of Lima if you know where that is.

Hey there buck, how long were you into golf
before you got your 1st eagle?
Congratulations on your first eagle! I still remember mine and can explain it like I hit it an hour ago. Too bad, it's my only one I've ever made. Hope you can fare better than I have.
