Masters Practice round tix

Hello all! I've been lurking the board and this is my first time posting. Hope to make it many more. For my first post, I have a question regarding the Masters tix.

Has anyone sent in for the practice round tickets and actually gotten them from Augusta National? I've been sending back the form they send me every year with my request for 2 tix on Mon/Tues/Wed. I also note on the form that I will take fewer days if that helps. In 8 years of trying, I've never gotten tix. Just wondering if this process really is "random" or if I should be doing something I'm not.

Thanks in advance for any responses. Looking forward to participating in the discussions.

Re: Masters Practice round tix

I know a few people on this site attended the Masters this year including the practice rounds so I hope you can find your answer. As far as I can tell, Masters tickets are limited but in very high demand so you might not be doing anything wrong at all.

Re: Masters Practice round tix

I tried back in 2000 and received tickets. It does work, but as stated above, the percentages are not good.

The course is awesome and they do a first rate job on the course. They don't rip you off on tickets, food, or souveniers. The course is every bit as beautiful as it is shown on TV, maybe more so in person. The hills are more pronounced in person. I went to the wednesday round and I would recommend going that day. The players play the Par 3 course in the afternoon and all are full of smiles.

Maybe year 9 will be your lucky year.

I have known several people who have attended practice rounds. I am suprised you haven't been picked in the annual lottery yet, but from my experience there are quite a few available. FWIW, none of those folks got tickets for all 3 practice rounds....it's always for one day.
