golfing term question

Has anyone ever heard of the area around the edge of the green being referred to as the "curtain". Alternatively, do you know of any other reference used in golfing that the word "curtain" would refer to?

Thanks!

I believe that is the apron. No, I don't know what curtain is, but I don't speak fluent "golf".

Re: golfing term question

Sometimes called the "apron", but most often just called the "fringe". If you heard "curtain" maybe it was someone confusing curtain with apron?

Re: golfing term question

I have heard that once or twice, but apron or fringe is most common.
