Talking PERFECT SWING?

What would you give up or go without to have the perfect swing? This was a question in a golf magazine in the uk. The results were pretty surprising.

Merlin - when you raise a topic, you're supposed to open the discussion by going first. What would you give up?

Re: PERFECT SWING?

Define perfect swing? Bet you won't be able to define it. But a perfect hit? of course! It's the one that goes on target. Everytime! Now I would give up something for that but not a perfect swing.

Re: PERFECT SWING?

Ok this thread isnt going the way i anticipated so the magazines findings were

4 out of 10 golfers would give up sex for a month.
3 out of 10 would rather have a perfect swing as opposed to a happy marriage (sad or what?)
6 out of 10 would give up a pay rise or promotion.
6 out of 10 would give up ther hair ????????
8 out of 10 have taken time of from work or missed a family gathering or religious service.
7 out of 10 would give up alchohol.
7 out of 10 say the ability to fit clubs into the boot is a big decider in what car they buy.

Have you ever hit a shot and then thought 'that just felt great' as you hold your finish and watch the ball sail off? That comes pretty close.

Re: PERFECT SWING?

Whatever I give up, it would only be temporary. Once I have that "perfect swing" then I can go on Tour and I'll be able to afford to buy back whatever I gave up....

Trouble is... in order to use that perfect swing I have to have a better back than I have right now... so....

I'll give up my current swing to get a perfect back..... then I'll give up my 2 front teeth for that perfect swing. Then with a perfect back and a perfect swing, I'll go on Tour, make a lot of money and I'll pay the best dentist in the country to replace those teeth...

How's that for a plan???
