I've only been on here a few times, but just had to share this. Was playing Mallard Creek in Lebanon OR today with a friend from work. I've been playing for about 7 months and was not having a good day. We got to the 11 hole, where we have to tee off across a large pond and marsh. It is a dog leg right. I normally hit across to the fareway, then approach to the green. Today I thought, I'd drive for the green. It's about 230-240, depending on which book you look at. I hit my drive really flush (used a TM Burner). The ball was right on line and I watched it clear the water, marsh, and bounce on the green. When I got close to the green though, I couldn't see the ball. I figured it had bounced over into some heavy brush. My friend said, "check the hole". I could see my ball mark about 8 feet from the hole. WHen I wa;ked up and checked the hole, there it was . I'm still in shock. I've saved the ball, and my score card. Of course, I had to share it with the folks at the pro shop. They were going to call out local paper and have them put it in the sports page. I'm really glad I had a witness, cause nobody would have believed that I would have made it. I barely believe it myself. Just had to share...
That's awesome man. I came close about a month ago. Dog leg right par 4 that plays 343 yards on the card. The pin was in the back center. I hit my drive over the trees. I got up to the green and had a 12 foot eagle put....which I missed!
Thats amazing man, I came close on the executive course I use to play at. It was a 250 yard par 4 and I hit a 3 wood 15 feet from the hole and made the 2nd eagle of my career.
I got my first eagle on a par 4 3 weeks ago. drove 3 wood over the pond and got it within 3 feet. * almost hole in one!* ( any longer and i woulda missed the putt )
