Waiting for my birthday present!!

Well today is my 23rd birthday,

Ordered a brand spankin new Scotty Cameron Red X 35' putter in the mail today. Waiting for Mr. UPS Man to bring it to me so I can play on Saturday.

Quick comment, and please voice your opinion and see if you agree with me--- When you think about it, the price of equipment for golf is pricey. I know that; but I find it funny that people complain about the price of the Scotty Cameron putters, when people have no problem going out and spending $300-$600 on a new driver.

I find this complaint funny when the old saying is "Drive for show, putt for dough" and most of your strokes are given away on the greens....

Your thoughts..?

My putter cost me $110. It works just as well, if not better than any putter 2-3 times the price.

My driver cost me $300. Unlike metal drivers, which will wear down, mine will last decades.

Yea golfguy, I agree. Par 72 course breakdown, 14 strokes for driver, 36 strokes for putter.

Good for you it that's really the putter you want! And you do have a valid point. Enjoy the putter...now get some good golf balls to go with it.

Re: Waiting for my birthday present!!

Tell you what.. after opening the box.. i fell in love. This is a gorgeous putter. I'd rather spend the money on this putter then a big time driver that here and there ill give away 4-6 strokes on a round if i hit it OB.

Re: Waiting for my birthday present!!

I just checked it out. That thing is a beauty. What color did you get?

For that price you might want to put it under a glass case! It's almost too pretty to hit.

Many congrats to ya...
