Opinions Sought on new golf show

Hello duffers,

My name is Mike McCafferty and I'm a golfer and a TV/Film actor. Recently, I've combined the two in an internet series I created. It's a buddy comedy series of short internet spots. I'm targeting both the avid golfer and the beginner, but most importantly I'm trying to make a funny show.

This feels like spam, it being my first post, but I'm asking people who care about the game to check out a couple of the shows and give me some feedback. I've got a couple of meetings with advertisers and I want to make sure that I've got the right show.

So check it out if you want and reply here or on the youtube site. Constructive criticism is appreciated over "I didn't like". Tell me what works and what needs to be stronger. Help me make this a good show.

thanks in advance,

Mike

PS- (Teed off is the tentative title. I know there's a movie of the same name.)

Re: Opinions Sought on new golf show

I went through the video's, so that's a good sign.

I think the 4 characters are too similar to each other. I think you will want to make the 4 personalities not so similar and yet complimentary. Think of Seinfeld. George and Kramer are almost polar opposites, but yet can talk about anything, and interact in situations. I think you should consider defining the 4 players with each getting a distinctive personality. Maybe, one of the guys in the Tiger Beat short could worship Tiger and act out that role in the short, as an example.

The foursome should also interact in situations with other people on the course in some of the shorts. Waiting on the tee for a group to finally hit, etc. You could come up with another foursome, that this foursome hates and is jealous of for past history reasons. You could have an old pro shop manager that berates everyone. You could have a greenskeeper that is like Jim from Taxi. The list is endless.

It's a fine line between success and average. I felt the material was average

Hope this helps.
