While recently being fitted for new irons by an exjperienced pro, he noted that the grips I had been playing were too small for my hands. With properly fitted grips on my new irons, I noticed a marked increase in the accuracy of my iron shots. I then wrapped the grips on the rest of my old clubs and noted a similar marked increased in target accuracy with them as well.
What other important small things have I been missing?
Well I'm sure since you got your irons fitted for you, that you got the lie angle adjusted, that can make a difference as well as length of your clubs, if you are especially tall/short.
Other than that there's lots of other things, like making sure your shafts match your swing.

Shaft lenght, shaft weight, shaft flex and design, swingweight, total weight, progressive weighting, biased weighting, loft adjustments, grip weight, backweighting, spining, hard or soft stepping, custom grinds and bounce adjustment...you can get as involved as you like, but I warn you, it's addictive...
I play just about exactly the same with a rockflite as I do a pro v1...but maybe that's just me...I spin the pro v1 more, and it feels better on the clubface, that's why I play it...I'd have to be alot better than I am to realize the real benefits (and I'm not too bad)...

i cant stand using rocks.
its so hard just for chipping and the short game,, and putting.
id rather use a new top flight (the soft one) than use a rock.
for practice when im playing by myself,, i usually play just a dt solo or a random titleist,, but for tournys,, i use pro v1, tour i, or nike black.
Besides the "brush tee" approach, are you aware of any other creative ways to precisely control tee height relavant to current large volumne driver head technology?

Figure out the tee height that works the best, point your finger to the ground next to the tee and look at how much the tee comes up your finger, then when you push the tee into the ground, measure with your finger to that point...you'll get so this becomes one smooooooth motion...
