Hit one of the best shots I have ever hit today

So I hit a horrible, horrible tee shot and end up in the fairway to the left. A guy I was playing with basically hit the same shot as me but was 5 yards a head of me. I had 180 yards to the pin with tree trouble. I Couldn't get my 6i up quick enough to go over the trees and thought about just chipping sideways back into my fairway to take my medicine. My playing partner says why not hit a low draw under the trees and get it close to the green. I have practiced this shot a few times but not really a shot I currently have in my bag. I say what the **** lets go for it. I hit it perfectly. Ball ran up the green to about 2 feet from the pin. Probably 95% luck, but with the bad breaks I have gotten, a little luck never hurts.

With all the bad bounces on the course, it's nice to hear about some good fortune. Hope you have a run of good luck.

Nice going! It may have been a rarity, but I wouldn't call it a lucky shot! A lucky shots bounces onto the green off a rock, or something like that. You hit this shot perfectly indeed.

A lucky shot was the worm burner I hit into the water yesterday that skipped off a water and left me a putt for par after slicing my tee shot into the water. THAT was lucky.

Your shot though sounds like skill to me, well done!
