Yardage books at course

Just curious how many of the courses most people play have a yardage book? I played a course today (Brookwood) that I could have definitely used one. Constantly off the tee I was walking out trying to find the flag and see what club I needed to tee off with. Is this how it normally is? The two courses I play the most are pretty short and straight forward, no real need for a book. And when I want to treat myself to a nice course I generally go to Juday Creek, which has a decent book available to use. It just doesn't make sense to me that a course that you cannot see over half the flags would not have a yardage book. It could be worse though, there is one course in my area that I will not play at all, as it has no fairway markers. All you get it is the distance from tee to green.

Sounds like a plug for a Sky Caddie.

Yeah Sky Caddie is great, I really need to get one, cause most courses near me are too cheap to manufacture yardage books, and half their yardages out there are too inaccurate, including my home course. I just know the yardages like the back of my hand here, I considered putting together my own yardage book for it, haha.

Not trying to plug for sky caddie as I have never used it or any other type of range finding device. Wait a minute, I did ride in a cart, one time, that had gps. To me it just makes since that any course with an above average slope rating should have some sort of guide.
