Used to get the Golf Channel in the UK, but unfortunatley Sky had a rejig of its channels & the Golf Channel got suplanted by first Arsenel TV & then by Setanta sports
So no Golf Channel anymore in Britain.
Okay, so some of the programs were a bit naff, like the Big break ones, but they were always a bit of fun, & some of the adverts would go on for an eternety, but hey to get something for free you've got to put up with adverts for bad quality drivers from say the likes of Northwestewrn Pro
And some of the coverage of the US events were dire, especially the cringeworthy commentary, but at least at the time we could get coverage. Any coverage is welcome against having to subscribe to yet another package.
I already subscribe to the complete Skysports package in order to get the excelent European Tour coverage, which also includese the very well presented Golf Night. Well might cringe occasionally at some of the things Di Stewart comes out with, but its fun seeing what outfit has been chosen that night & how she's got her hair & the way she flirts with Robert Lee (And I bet they haven't realised we noticed, its so obvious).
So unless I can win the National Lottery, of get a 25percent payrise, I'm hardly going to pay out extra to get Setanta Sports just to get their Setanta golf, when all it covers is the USPGA (big deal) & the senior tours. Having said that, I bet things are a bit more interesting now Mr Woods, isn't out their to hoover up all the trophies in sight. Gets boring when the same player wins week in week out. Fair enough, so its not entirely true. But If I hear another person cry out "IN-DA-HOLE!!!" ,Especially when its a parr 5, I'm going to scream.
Oh, looked at the link for the site, unfortunally none of the vids would load... hey ho
For those of you who were upset about the antics of Ashley and Ashleigh with Rob/Charlotte and Parker/Andy, saying the ladies weren't playing by the rules and that they should have been penalized, I have some info for you...
I decided to find out more about that when I talked today with Raul and Jameica and with Keri Murphy. I asked them what they thought about the Ashs' behavior. I found out and was also lucky and got some extra bonus material - funny road stories from the contestants that we didn't see and an inside scoop about Alligator Alley from Keri.
I'm really looking forward to the "twist" we're supposed to see next week.
Do you want to hear what Rob and Charlotte and Andy and Parker had to say after last week's show? Check out my interviews of them this week - lots of behind the scenes stuff and Andy and Parker are, as you guessed it - a hoot!
I have been in Mexico for two weeks and haven't been able to watch HW 18 - withdrawal!!! But I caught up this week and was able to interview Rob and Charlotte, Ashleigh K and Jay Reynolds and get their perspective on a roller coaster ride through episodes 3 and 4. It was interesting to hear how they felt about all the drama, twists and turns. I liked getting the "behind the scenes" stuff too.
I just added interviews with Raul and Jameica to find out their strategy on assigning holes to their competitors. They thought a lot about it and I think they were smart trying to take out the biggest threat.

I don't like the blondes. They are rude, whiney, ungracious and mean spirited. They don't back it up to well either. A lot of choking going on with those two.
The show is decent though. I sometimes get bored waiting for them to get to the course and play some golf. There is a lot of pressure playing those holes out. Gotta be tough getting your pars while being followed around by cameras.
I'll be adding the rest of the interviews to the same post on Wed and Thurs, so check back and see what Jay and Rob have to say about their struggles on course.
