See you're back from your trip to my neck of the woods. Did you get a chance to play any courses while seeing the new grandkid?

Thumbs up Back from Ann Arbor, MI

The grandson is cute as a button, but a "bruiser." At 7 weeks old he's over 12 lbs., and moves his head all over - strong neck. His dad is 6'5", and I'm 6'4" so he doesn't have a chance!

I only got to play once, but it was the University of Michigan golf course. What a beautiful layout, and in great condition. Greens were fast and kicked my butt all day as it seemed I faced downhill putts on every hole. I did my share of 3-putting. But I wouldn't have missed it for anything.

I'm going back first week of August and hope to play there again, if its not too hot and muggy.

Thanks for asking - and I did miss the guys on the forum.

WOW! He's sounds like he'll hit it over 350 yds when he grows up! Nice to know things went well.

The UM course is a classic. I've never played it, but have been around it a few times and have never heard but good things about it. They held the Michigan Amatuer Championship there a few years ago, which is a pretty big thing in this state. It's hard for me to be so complemtary about anything regarding UM 'cause I'm a Spartan alum. MSU's course used to be a good track, but they've made changes to a few holes and completed re-did the routing and I don't care for at all now, but that's a whole 'nother story. If you come up in Aug, bring your sticks again. There are many fine courses in SE MI.
