Can some one explain what a tournament played with "gross" score is? What exactly is gross scores and net scores?
I have never really played like a net or anything, always just went by score and entered it in thw handicap thing.
If it says "Merit points are awarded to the top 10 participants in each category based on overall gross score for each tournament" what exactly is that? just normal medal play?

Junior - Gross scores are your actual scores - what you record on your scorecard. A net score is your gross score minus your handicap.

And believe me, I've handed in some gross scores.

if you take a par on a on a par 4, its a gross 4. if u have a shot to your handicap on that hole, thats a nett 3.
