Re: Pro cuts in front of you during a round - right or wrong?

There are a lot of facts missing in this tale.
'gusv' says that they became aware of "Them" around the 12th but doesn't say what was happening in front of them, nor how close he had been to the group who disappeared.
It could have been that "They" started on the 10th while gusv was playing the 8th and were caught up by the 12th. "They" may also have played from the 1st but let a number of groups through.
The full facts have not been posted, the main thing seems to be the Pro's manners and the opening line of "How did you get ahead of us?" could have easily been taken as aggressive, hence the responce.

Those are all the facts you need, Filey...he should have let them play through, especially since it was an instruction outing. And I agree with SoCal Bob, the pro passed up an opportunity to include etiquette in the lesson. Bad etiquette, questionable behavior.

"Bad etiquette, questionable behavior", thats the bad manners I am talking about.
I feel that too many people complain when they are playing quicker than the group in front even though that group is holding position. Nowhere is it said that the Pro was holding up the course, only that gusv's group were having to wait for them.
Some Public courses have a Rule that the Professional Staff have priority, in the UK anyway.
