Tiger to return to Golf in 2 weeks at Accenture.

Just read a article on Comcast homepage that stated Tiger Woods is leaving sex addiction rehab where he could not practice Golf and practice for a return to the Accenture match play championship in 2 weeks. I was a little skeptical at first but i did a search on Google and found many websites and articles also stating the same thing. I my self feel that he needs to come back for the sake of himself and Golf as a sport. I have missed him and im sure alot of other people who are fans of Tiger have missed him also. Im not sure how good he will play but this will help him get back on track if he wants to catch and pass Nicklaus.

I hope he's able to deal with everything that's going on in his life. And I'm glad to hear that he'll be returning to the PGA Tour. Even a wounded Tiger is better than none.

Tiger hasnt updated his website in 2 months so where you got that its there first is beyond me. Its all over the internet from his coach and his mouth itself. Tho i myself dont understand why he would come back and play his first event for a sponser that dropped him is beyond me. I also didnt hear from his mouth but thats what there saying on every golf forum and news website out there. We will find out in a few days if he signs up for it. Thats when we'll know for sure.

Perhaps a return for a tourney put on by someone who dropped him is exactly what he needs. At the very least, it will indicate his recognition of the fact that he agrees with the fact that he's "done something wrong."

I hope the news is true. And I think the context of his return will make for interesting television even if you aren't a golf fan....

Re: Tiger to return to Golf in 2 weeks at Accenture.

About tiger not updating his website? whats hard to understand?

He has not updated his website since announcing his sabbatical from golf to save his marriage.
Tiger has until Friday to announce if he will play at this tournament and normally does so on the Thursday before closure of the field.

At the same time he always puts the information on his website so the world knows.....

As this is the normal thing to do lets wait until the playing field is announced by the Tournament.

Why do you feel he will change this habit of a lifetime just to suit your whims?

If he throws his Driver into the gallery again like he did in China I hope he gets suspended.
He could have really hurt someone. He needs to keep his cool if He even has one anymore. But I wish Love and Happiness and all the best.

Re: Tiger to return to Golf in 2 weeks at Accenture.

I heard a very quick comment on the Golf Channel last night that quoted Tiger's caddy as saying something along the lines of "It's not going to happen & the rumors are false".

Apparently it's not that much of an important story anymore since I can't find a link to such a comment although the on-screen commentator passed the information along. Go figure.

Why do you think that this would be a problem for him?

First, he doesn't need sponsorship to play. He has all the money anyone could ever need, so any sponsorship money is just so much gravy.

Second, to get retribution from the sponsor who dumped him? Maybe... if he has such feelings against them, which I doubt. He's smart enough to know that Accenture dropping him was a business move, nothing more. I doubt that he would do anything just out of a revenge motive.

This is a tournament where he has had great success, so it would be a logical place for him to return. That said, I don't really see it happening. He needs time to practice and get back on his game, and from what I read he hasn't had that opportunity at the clinic.

I'll believe he's back when I see him tee it up, not before. And to be honest, I really don't care when he comes back.

I think that its good that he's going back on the circuit. He needs something to get his mind off, well, I, what happened. haha. I think that he will return stronger that ever.
