I live in deep south Louisiana, and I travel all over the gulf coast. I am oilfield trash and proud of it. At least 200 rounds per year, but I really don't want to know for sure, and I am sure if the boss knew I would be in a nine line bind.
Probably do about 25-30 rounds a year. I just dont have the funds or time to go very often. I golf a lot more when I'm visiting my mother here in Maine where I am now. I would be out there now if I could move my arms, but thanks to the local gym and starting to get in shape for hockey season, I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

How do you play 200 arounds a year? That's like 7000 dollars a year on golf alone, lol. :)

I wish I had the money to do that.
Easy, first off I am a consultant, if I pay it is tax deductable because I always bring clients. Secondly, I am very well conected in the golf business on the gulf coast, so I get comped alot. But I can afford to pay as well. Additionally the reason I get comped is because I do club repair for alot of pros, they provide the materials, I do the repairs. I don't charge them, they don't charge me, it is called the barter system still alive and well.
I don't keep my "Golf Log" anymore (see How Much do you spend thread) but I average about 100 rounds a year. I once kept track of the number of days in the year that I did something golf related.....that went out with my log! Here in Michigan I play what we refer to as Winter Golf. When it's too cold in Nov, Dec, Jan, and Feb for the average golfer to be playing (35-40 degrees) we'll play as long as there is no snow on the ground and the course is open. All that is moot when there's snow. The courses are empty, so it's dress appropriately, and play away!

and I live in Hamilton, ON, so I've only got about 5 months where I can golf at all
longfellow greg.................. I live in Ottawa and we play from mid april through mid november
Then we move it indoor on the simulator for the rest of the year. From december to march I play about 30 rounds inside.
So to answer your question ................ about 130 rounds a year total.
Here in the Upper Midwest, I'm lucky if I play 35 rounds a year. I don't mind putting the clubs away in late October. With my game, I'm usually ready to give it a rest by then! But February is tough, knowing that you haven't played in 4 months and will have to wait another 2 before you do. :(
There are indoor facilities (e.g., golf simulators), but it's not the same, of course. Good chance to have some camaraderie with fellow golfers, though.
4 to 5 days a week, thats would probably add up to 200 or so rounds a year. ( retired in 1999). year around golf weather in Texas.
Need time to practice.
