Ouch.

I was wondering about whether the pros ever just shank it, or completely miss, that kind of thing. I guess, for them, having their swing "a little off" means they shoot four over par. For me, being a "little off" means hitting the ball off the hosel, or whiffing. I had a bad round at my 3-par a few weeks ago, haven't been back on the course since. Still trying to wrap my head around the mental part of this game.

Think Paul Hamm. Talk about mental toughness.

I wasn't lecturing, honest! It's just that I have personally witnessed kids your son's age whipping around in carts, all with their parents approval. It's one thing to drive with an adult on board (most courses don't allow anyone under 16 to drive) and another for young kids to drive alone. When I read your post I thought that your 7 year old was driving alone.

Your "traffic cop" story is funny. It sounds like you're having as much fun as the kids!

I had one of those days today. I couldent hit any thing well. With my favorite club the Trusty Rusty I kept hitting it way off to the right. And My 3 wood was getting real high and great distance then it would curve right into the trees before it landed. I think the trouble came today becasue I was talking to a golf pro before my game and he changed my grip and I just couldent get a feel for it. But today one of the guys in my foursome wraped his putter around his bag becasue he missed a 2 foot putt. But today I felt real nervous on the course for some reason I just did not feel right. I think its related to a bit of girl trouble that poped up the other night and its got me a bit out of sorts.
