What do you do for good luck out on the course or to end bad luck etc.
I have a few things:
1. Always start the round off with 7 balls (17 is my lucky number, but 17 balls is too many so i go with 7)
2. If i mke 2 consecutive bogeys i change balls or if i make double or worse i change balls
3. I always keep a divot fixer in my pocket that was given to me by the top golfer and course record holder at my course. (There is also a magnetic ball marker and i wrote 17 on both sides because 17 is my lucky number)
4. I always use penny's to mark my ball from either my birth year or the 1970's(where i want my scores to be, and it is always a canadian penny) Latley though i have been using the new Canadian "Lucky Loonie" to mark my ball because they are limited time aditions from the royal canadians mint to commemorate the olympics.
5. I usually try to keep 7 tees in my pocket, usually differs by the end of the round but at the start i want 7 tees in my pocket.
I can't really think ofn anything else, but i might think of some other odd things i do later.
man, i thought i was bad,
I will not play with a number 4 ball,
always mark with a quarter, tails up, eagle head towards the hole
If its a tourney, i will use a dime, tails up, flame towards the hole
only natural tees(brown)
by the way junior....if you get tired of posting you can go to somewhere around page 8 of this area and find this same subject

I wouldn't say that I have any superstitions, but I have to have my pockets correctly loaded, or else I don't feel right.
Left front pocket: ballmark repair tool; little slip of paper that has my yardages on it (I know them but it helps confidence to look at it: "says right here the club for this distance is a 7-iron; must be right!").
Right front pocket: a 1971 peso (from a few months I spent in Texas that year; for marking my ball when it's not in someone's line), a small plastic ballmarker (for when my ball IS in someone's line), a penny (for someone else's ball, if the need arises), 2 tees, a pencil.
Back right pocket: scorecard.
Back left pocket: Empty.
I should unload that right front pocket a little, but I'd lose the distance generated when the weight shifts from right to left on the downswing. Need all the help I can get.
I knew i forgot some.
I will only use red and white tees, others just get thrown in a little rubber made container of mine. (canadian flag, red and white)
And i always line the ball up so i hit it right on the brand of the ball. Those are all i can think of.
I am superstitious about any ball which does me wrong...... it started out with pure rage and has now developed to the point that if I am remotely irritated when the ball gets to the hole, I will get rid of it. Of course the most darned irritating thing is when someone then goes to get the * thing..... so I have resorted to collecting them up until a water hole and then chuck 2 or 3 at a go..... some people think im absolutely insane

Hahaha i do that as well, well i throw them when i get mad, not wait till they get to a certain amount. But then someone in my group will be like hey i would have had that ball, but giving it away doesn't take away the rage as much as whipping the * into the bushes!!!

Like Jim, I am really specific as to how my pockets are "stocked" during my round. In my right pocket, I carry two tees, a ball mark repair tool, a ball marker and my ball. I don't carry anything in my left pocket because if I have my glove on, it's difficult to get things out of there. When I'm at the green, I'll get my putter, take my glove on and put it in my right back pocket and my putter cover goes in my left back pocket.
One thing I probably should do but don't is carry two balls with me in my pockets. I figure it's only setting myself up for failure so I refuse to do this.

I am totally with you guys on this. If I forget to take my wallet out of my back pocket, I can pretty much guarentee my shots will be WAY off. Other then that its a few tees in the left pocket with a ball mark repair tool. Scorecard in my back right pocket, and thats it! (I am a Lefty so I am backwards remember)

There's a hole at my favorite course where I toss a ball into the water (if I make it safely on the green ) just to appease the Water Gods.
Me:
-Nothing but WHITE tees (it makes me feel clean and ready for each tee..weird)..and I carry a long one and a short one.
-2 ball markes (mexican 10 peso and a new zealand 2 pound coin)
-divot repair tool
-1 ball in the pocket
-scorecard in rt back pocket.
I always have my scorecard in the back right pocket, divot repair tool, and the first ball marker I ever received back in 1992. The marker has the logo of the course I play out of, and I've become so attached to it that I can't play without knowing its in my pocket or bag. If I loose it, which I did once, I have to go back and find it or I can't function. Believe me it looks ridiculous when the people behind me see me run back and try to find the marker

You know, after I hit a safe seven iron over 150 yards of water to the green today on my par-3 tee-shot (I make it about 50% of the time) I thought of throwing a ball in the water myself. I didn't though. I figure if I have to lose a ball, I might as well lose it after a bad shot.
I myself don't have any superstitions on the course. I feel that the thin line between a good and bad shot has to do with Y-O-U.

I don't throw the ball I just hit over the water back into the water! I carry a couple of old balls for "sacrificial purposes." All the Water God knows is that the necessary and appropriate sacrifice was made!
