Writing a golf article - where would I send it?

I've been thinking of writing an article for a golf magazine, but have no clue how to get it to the right place for it to be considered.

I'm sure there's an address for any submissions. Google it for Golf Digest or Golf magazine.

If you send an article to a national magazine, you are likely to be rejected. National magazines have professional writers on staff.

To get a name for yourself, try sending the article first to a local golf magazine.

Oh, it's one from a duffer's perspective. I don't know much about the various golf magazines, so I wil go googling.

Thanks, guys.

You may want to check the Web sites for Golf Digest or Golf Magazine to find out the e-mail address or phone number for the editors there. You could contact the appropriate editor but I'm in the same boat as Bates. I'm sure they have a lot of paid staffers on hand to write all the content they need. One way you could go is by writing for a local publication but you could also contact an editorialist if they would like to write an article from the "duffer's perspective." You could be used as "research."
