Before the Hart/Sluman corp. took ownership it was known as Lafayette Country Club, but they changed the name to the Country Club of Syracuse.

I just tried to play in a state tournament (annual amateur for a course), but couldn't hit the ball well. I hadn't played this course since it first opened in '99.

We started on the #1 handicap which has a blind tee shot over a big hazard. I missed it a little right and it went in the water. My 15 foot putt for bogey just missed. Then, we played a long par three over water. I hit in the middle of the water and got a 6. Then, I hit three drives into the water on the next hole. I was down to one ball and just left after 2 1/2 holes. I would have been 11 over after 3 holes with a 6 handicap (7 for the tournament).

I'm off to deal with more water without being penalized for it. I'm going fly fishing. Maybe I'll catch a few of my golf balls.

...didn't find any of my golf balls here, but spooked some big trout off...

Another 37 (+3)

6 Pars and 3 Bogeys

The course is playing the hardest I've ever seen it, the pins are literally a few places on and the greens are super fast.

i'm never gonna get to play again..haha..there is a tournament at my course and we are in the middle of an ownership change. The Dir. Of Tournament Sales quit. So I am the only other person besides the GM that knows how to help run the stupid thing. So naturally I am doing a lot of the work on it. It's this week coming up..200 people..spread over two courses. You're killing me Smalls..and to think I am considering going to PGCC and making this a career..yea..why not.

Just curious SteelerJoys. I see your in Va. I used to belong to a PGCC when I was a kid living in Md - Prince Georges Country Club just east of DC. That wouldn't be the place your referring to would it ?

Shot pretty good, Pry around 80. Wasn't really keeping score. Still having a little trouble with my driver. But I saw a callaway great big bertha driver and hit it on the course and it was sweet! thinking about buying one. The club hit really good considering it's about 10 years old.
