18 this morning- best of the year
10/18 gir
8/14 fairways
29 putts
6 bogeys, 2 birdies
75 (par 71)
I swear I love that HX Hot ball.
I have to learn to get up and down better- missing 8 greens and taking 6 bogeys is not a good up and down %.

18 yesterday. It started out mid 60 degrees. After 6 holes the clouds rolled in and the temperature must have dropped 20 degrees with horrific winds. We didn't get too much rain though. It only lasted 1/2 hour before the sun came back out, the temperature got back to around 60, and the winds died down to a reasonable breeze.

I shot 40 on the front (could have been 37 if a couple of 6'-8' putts dropped) and a 43 on the back (sh**ked three iron shots). All in all a good day. Had an eagle putt of 15' on a par 5 (that hasn't happened in years), monster drive (for me) and a 200 yard 5 iron with a helping breeze - settled for a 3" tap in birdie.

What a humbling game.

90, not a bad round but not great. My best so far this season, which is kinda sad, but I've only gone twice so yeah. I had a few great shots, and QUITE A FEW er, uh, not-so-great shots. For some reason my long irons got turned off since last time, so that's bad.
So yeah, 45 on each side.

Forgot to mention, Par-61. Hehehe... Tied with my guest, who shot 46-44. And I saw about 4 people who I know from school. It's like a high school reunion, even though I'm still in high school! Crazy!

93 on a god-forsaken rainy miserable morning. It has rained hard here for the last three days, so it was very, very sloppy.

40/44 - 84 @ (69.1/126) a beautiful day. I shot 40 from the tips on the front by myself and caught up with a couple of OGs on 10. Played with them from the whites on the back for a 44... go figure. 10 fairways, 7 greens and 36 putts. 2 penalties and a 4-putt. It was the best I've hit it in a while... getting used to the new sticks. Didn't really putt that bad.. the greens were very fast. I'll try it again Sunday.

...My ball striking was really good today, as good as it's ever been, I felt like I couldn't miss. It could have been a great round but I missed 10 birdie putts inside 20 feet... I had 33 putts, including a 3 putt, but I made a long putt too, so i guess it evens it out.

121. absolute meltdown of a round. played bear mountain for the first time. beautiful course, real awesome selection of holes. drove the ball beautifully for the most part. unfortunatly, last week i developed a rather crippling case of the shanks, & couldn't flight an iron to save my life(or round). in retrospect, i should've started playing ugly golf & hitting knockdown 150yd 3wds, but i was so po'ed that i didn't think of it.
on the bright side, it was nice out & i hit a 293 yd drive. also got to play a replica of #17 at sawgrass. 135yds, wind straight into our faces. 3 balls later, i was out of the hole. pretty typical of my day.
oh well. i'm breaking 90 tomorrow.

Went out and played today for the first time in two weeks. Started off sinking a 15 to 20ft putt for birdie on the first hole. Went on to bogey the third, forth, and ninth holes to shoot a 2over 37. Played the back nine and carded 3 bogeys, one double bogey , and a birdie on the last hole to shoot a 39. So a 6 over 76 wasn't that bad for not playing in two weeks. Also it looks like my 2iron found it's way back into my bag, hit it great today...

I played in the Golden Spike Amateur tournament in Brigham City, Utah today. The first hole was interesting. I holed out a SW from about 60 yards. I used to play a 60 degree wedge, but changed my setup and swing based on a quick chipping lesson. I didn't carry it as far as I wanted, but it got a great roll and went right in at perfect speed.

I also holed out another SW (same newly acquired swing) from about 50 yards after taking a drop from a hazard. I couldn't see the bottom of the flag from where I was. I knew it would be close. When I started to walk up, it looked like it was pretty close. After looking again a little closer, the ball was gone. It was stuck between the flag and edge of the hole at first. Sweet.

Here is the round. Thanks to two drives o/b on the second hole I shot an 84. The tournament pays skins. I have a shot with birds on two par fours. 65 was the low round (72 rating).

A 79 (+7) today not flash. Wasn't to bad after being +5 after 4 holes. 30 putts and hit the grand total of 2 fairways all day.And 5 GIR's. The striking was awful, the putter so so. I won a few $$ though somehow so it wasn't all bad

I shot 76 (+6) today @ Treeline Golf Course in Tomball TX. It was a beautiful day.....75 degrees, sunny and a slight wind that gusted every once in a while.

Well, I ****** it up yesterday at Meadow Gardens ( http://www.meadowgardens.com ). Shot 45 on the front and fell apart on the back with a 51 for a 96. I hit some great shots though.......didn't feel like a 96 at least.
