I'm glad you like the site. I just launched discussion forums today.

Yes, I'll score better. Last year, I shot 90's a few times this time of year. So, I guess it was even worse last year. I ended the season shooting a few 74's.

I have a couple of goals this year. One is my usual goal of breaking 70. Another is to shoot 31 in a men's association tournament at my home course. So far, I haven't broken 40 there.

finally, a warm day around here to play, but of course the wind was howling around 20-25mph.

1st-9; 44, ugh, the first 4 holes were terrible. it took awhile to learn how to play again without 10 layers of clothing on.

2nd-9; 40, things are getting better

3rd-9; 37, and missed a 5ft birdie putt on last hole,

but didn't lose one drink hole today

stagday

Well after a horrendous 96 over 9 holes, with some workmates directly after completing four 12 hour night shifts,

I went to a lesson the other day & directly after played 18 holes at a local course I've never played before & got a stonkingly good 105, when I had a particularly good back nine

9-hole league play last night. I was thinking of the dreaded sh**k for the first few holes, but it never raised its ugly head all round.

I drove the ball pretty good, 4 out of 7 fairways, but I think I'm finally getting the feel for the new mx-23s. Most were square, one off the toe - very high draws. I shot a 40, which could have been an easy 38 with decent putting, but I'm more satisfied with the ball contact I was making. Life is good.

I played 27 yesterday at just under bogey golf pace. I was in a month's worth of traps... had 2 sandies & 2 where it took me 2 to get out. The putter was giving me some trouble.. or probably it was the other way around. Highlight was lipping out an eagle attempt for the 4th time. I don't think I'm ever going to get one. 482 yarder... nice drive & 3-wood, pin high 3 yards off the green. Chipped an 8-iron... tracking all the way. It caught half the cup and spun out. At least I made the bird.

I shot an 82 yesterday. Nothing too spectacular, just OK. 10/15 fairways, 7 GIR, 33 putts. I hit the new fairway wood 5 times in the round and hit 4 pretty good shots and one clunker. Had a decent chip left for eagle on #6 with a really nice drive and a 5 wood to about 25 feet left of the hole. Unfortunately I hit a poor chip and ended up settling for par. Such is life....I'll be out today for another round unless this cold keeps progressing....

I got up at 4:45 today and left the house at 5:15 to make my 6:39 tee time and I forgot the sunscreen. I really should have checked the proshop I bet they had some. I didn't even think about it until it was too late. We didn't finish until noon I'm cooked
I was 10 over through 12 holes and shot an 83... but it was a beautiful morning!

I played my O.G vs Y.G round today....
Its sure makes a difference hitting woods for your 2nd shots on most of the holes!
My putting was really good for once and the best hole of the day was on the longest par4 where I hit Driver, topped 3 wood, and 6 iron and sunk the putt for par .

Oh... and what did I shoot?... inbetween 60-120

Played my OG vs YG yesterday. On the advice of counsel I cannot reveal what I shot.

I got up this morning and was on the course a little before 7:00, no tee time but I was the first one out. I played in 2:45 by myself, walking.
nice round. My handi is down to an 8, and I shot an 80.
40 on front
40 on back.
3 doubles!!

Shot of the day was a 140 yard 9 iron to about 6 inches. Birdie.

I love morning golf- so peaceful.

Sat. round, partners in a 4-some. We were up on marks and were playing total team score the last 3 holes for lunch. Hole #16, was short of the green, chunked a 15yd chip shot, then chunked another chip just of the edge and 2-putted. Partner didn't do much better. We are now down 2 with 2 to go.

#17, i'm short, just on the fringe and chip in a 25footer for birdie, but end up tying the hole for total.

#18, par-5, just on the fringe in 2, with about a 30ft. chip shot, and lo and behold, chip in another one for eagle. We end up tying, but at least we didn't have to buy their lunch, lol.

shot 39 + 38=77

stagday those eagles help.

It's Saturday and I didn't play...weird. Oh well, I'm taking Monday off to play in a two man scramble at a private course I've been wanting to play for several years. That should make up for it.

77 today. Was +4 after 5 holes but managed to play the last 13 only 1 over. Puttings getting better with 28 today but still needs work. Ball striking I seem to have forgotten how to do with only 6 GIR but as usual my chipping saved my butt

I shot a 37,39 76 today... I missed 3 four footers for pars on the last 4 holes to finish bogey, birdie, bogey, bogey, but I made the cut (on the number ) and I was armed with spf 30 and hat. I also left my collar up today becuase my neck got the worst of it yesterday, plus I heard the chicks dig it
