I played last night and managed a 43 on the front despite atrocious putting again (22 putts ). We then played 8 holes on the back (skipped 16 because it was too dark to see) and I was 3 over on those.

Good luck with your matches GG! Let us know how if you can vanquish the ex-coach.

Played in a 2-man best shot today. Rained for 13 holes worth, and then they called it and gave our money back. This weather has really been lousy this spring in the midwest.

Shot an 87 with a 9 handicap in the annual Bountiful Ridge Am today. Pathetic! This is a men's association course for me, too. Not a birdie in sight.

77 today, hit most fairways for the 2nd day in a row, the putter choked again though. May have to go back to the belly putter I think.

I played my first 18 yesterday in over a week and shot a 78. I played pretty good at times but my putting let me down. (My 8802 is having a new grip put on ) And for the second day in a row I missed an Eagle putt of less then 20 ft, with both of them coming on the same hole...

Teed off at 6:15 am. Just my bro-in law and myself.

Front- 1 double, 3 bogies, 1 birdie- 39 (par 35)
Back- 2 bogies, 7 pars- 39 (par 37)
78. I have been playing well, keeping my driver in play- On the back I missed 1 fairway and 2 greens. My putting is so so.

I was home by 9:30

He shot 71 (I hate him)

i shot an 81 yesterday at a par 72 course. I play on the high school golf team and it was our conference tourney. I could have shot an 78 but i missed 2 birdies by like half and inch. I also had one stupid double bogey. But im happy because i tied for third out of 66 people playing. I shot 42 on the front, 39 on the back

Well I played in my 2 matches(best ball in pairs and single) yesterday in the pouring rain
Played like a hack.... but still won
My hook came back on the 1st 9 I played managed to get it to a draw by the time we finished .
And my putting... as usual was terrible... so were my GIR 9 on each round!
In the 2nd round (the most important because it was single matchplay) I was 4 up with 4 to go then I choked and had to sink a 60cm putt on #17 to win 2 and 1.... and it just fell in the right edge.
ended up shooting 2 82's

you won, don't sweat it.

I think I'm developing GGputtingitis. Last 2 times out, can't make a thing, regardless of distance. Game is going to go south if it doesn't straighten up. Need to get if fixed before I play my OG round and running out of time.

stagday hoping for the best

Wink

I played nine at Mick Riley today, a local short course. I started great..eagled the first hole. I hit a beautiful 5W over the huge tree, landed soft on the green and ended up pin high about 10 feet away. I made the putt in the center of the hole.

I just traded my 975F fairway woods for 904F's. I wouldn't have got the eagle otherwise! I switched from 13.5 and 16.5 lofts to 15 and 19 and switched from steel to graphite. I couldn't believe how great the shot with the 5 wood felt...very very soft and I hit it long, straight, and plenty high enough to easily make it over the huge tree.

So, what did I shoot after getting an eagle on this easy course? 3 over...****! It was a roller coaster round for sure.

Here it is (took a picture of some baby geese while I was at it )

Join the club. 45 putts in my last two tours through the front nine at the home course. I putted a little better on the back nine each day, but still, totaling close to 40 putts in each round is no fun.

Tonight I managed to putt slightly better, needing 32 putts in my round of 82. Somehow I managed to miss a 1 foot putt on #1, but managed to get away with only one three putt the entire round. I hit some really nice shots but couldn't get a birdie putt to fall, as I chopped up the front nine a little bit, but recovered OK on the back to hit 6 of 9 GIR. 42-40.

Nice job GG. Will your scores hurt your chances of making the interprovincial team, or does the fact that you won each match sort of override them?

I played the best round of the year on probably the most humid day also. A nice 75 with 13/14 fairways hit, 10 GIR and 30 putts. 3 bogeys, and the rest pars. I missed a short 1 foot putt that im still beating myself over. I hit a great second shot and got a little antsy and pushed it right. DOH!

I have the odyssey dfx and I love it. It took me a little practice to get used to the weight difference over my old Ping. After I dialed that in, I have been stroking it great. Give the DFX another chance, spend a little time with it on the range and I am sure you will enjoy the results. Good luck.
