Shot 91 in a men's club event at my home course (par 71, slope 125). As 15-handicapper, I'm never happy to shoot 90 or more, but there were a few good things:
The course is getting pretty, as the fall colors start to come out.
The rain was light enough that I didn't need the umbrella.
My new shoes were comfy and kept my feet dry.
I played a Pro V1 and didn't lose it.
A friend of mine had his best round ever (73).
Was home by noon.

You shot a 91 which means you weren't happy with your score....
Fall colors mean your season's about over....
Light rain means no sunshine and no roll.....
New shoes on a soggy day means extra clean up duty when you're done....
You finally busted out one of the "golden eggs" you've been saving?
You lost money to your buddy because he shot a career round.....
You got home way too early, the wife just put you to work.......
Come on JimSomebody....you could'a played another round!!
I had a junior tournament at my home course and played pretty well. Shot a 37 on the front 9. The back 9 i shot the same thing, but it could have been better, i missed 2 shorter putts and bogeyed 2 of the last 3 holes. score 37-37=74...2 over par. I won my age group and the tournament. I was in the 14 and 13 age division and my friend was in the 15-16 age division. He shot shot a 75 which is his best 18 by a longshot (the one i did a thread on about choking, turn out some of the advice i gave him worked) I was pretty happy for him though.

Yeah, leaguegolf, I shoulda played another round! But you'll be gratified to learn that I've taken to heart comments you've made in other threads. I have not purchased a pair of cheap shoes so I can save the new DryJoys for special occasions, and yes, I busted out one of the golden eggs. Figured that if I lost it, I'd at least get some posting material for Golf Rewind!
Here's something I forgot to mention: My wife recently bought a pager-sized gizmo you put on your belt and it counts the number of steps you take. (It's her goal to take 10,000 steps a day.) I borrowed it and learned that I took 11,221 steps during my round. Would have been fewer if I hadn't done so much zig-zagging.

It's not the "zig-zagging" that gets me....it's all that back tracking!!
Shot 87 at the same course I shot 89 last week.
The first front nine was horrible! I had an energy drink right before teeing off and was jittery most of the front. Shot a 47.
Didnt calm down until the 8th whole and ran off like 5 straight pars. Had 6 pars on the back nine! Putts down from 36 to 28. Only my irons were off since I used the Cleveland clubs I just bought. Missed a lot of greens since these are much shorter than my usual clubs. Every club was like 15 yards shorter. Looks like I'll return them for full refund and try something else later when I get my handicap below 10.
8 over . cruddy conditions but that's no excuse
after the 16th hole i finally realised that for reasons that still baffle me i was sweeping the ball off the deck with the irons .not taking divots at all .
hitting only 5 greens and not putting terribly well just doesnt cut it on a low handicap
hmmmm. maybe the boggy ground today just highlighted a wee flaw in my game of late .
not all is lost afterall . woohoo !
I've had a bad weekend. 102, 100, 98. For a 24-handicapper (at this particular course) that isn't so great. Oh well...I'm getting a lesson on Wednesday so hopefully my pro can work out the kinks in my swing...
well i shot my two best rounds ever over the weekend at 92 on saturday and a 91 on sunday...my wife was gone all weekend so i had time to play and i played solo so i could really take my time and concentrate, bith days were twilights so it was pretty empty....
not too bad since lately i have been flirting with breaking 90, so darn close that i can taste it....
I did 47 front, 42 back for 89, it was two under my handicap. Five doubles was the worst score on the card. Then it was one birdie, four pars and the rest bogeys. I'm glad!
I hit 8 of 9 greens in regulation and hit 5 fairways today in 9 holes!! I was pretty happy with those stats, but my putting was just flat out horrific, i couldn't sink the putts that were easy, and i couldn't 2 putt from over 20 feet, i had 3 three putts and the one green i missed i didn't get up and down! all that was wrong was my putting and maybe not being within a good range of putting some of the time. I didn't have 1 one putt at all!!
The greenms were long and shaggy and chewed up, but that is no excuse, i should have just hit them harder. i just played one of the courses with some of the nices greens around, fast hard and flat out perfect and ever since then i haven't been able to get the feel back for putting on my home courses greens, i have been replying on sinking 5 footers for par because my lag putting has been that bad!!!
Shot 90 at Rawhiti (slightly easier course), a good first nine was unfortunately followed up with a rather nasty batting collapse in the second........today I think I'll blame.... .....the wind.
