I played 9 holes and had an even par 36... my ball striking is like the best ever this week 8 out of 9 GIR... but my shortgame was shocking, I couldn't make a birdie putt! and I really have to work on 20-50m approach shots into the greens on par 5's because they're terrible- well good contact, just I'm not getting the length right

I shot a 43/41- 84 @ a 6500 yard par 72(70.4/123). 5 fairways, though nothing really wayward. 6 greens. 30 putts. 2 penalty strokes. Drained a bomb for bird and missed 2 others inside 6'. There was a 2 club wind and I was playing in my dress shoes.... I forgot to put my golf shoes back in the trunk after I cleaned them and my clubs ... at least I remembered my sticks. That's 3 in a row for me in the low 80s after struggling to break 90 all season. I can't wait to get out again. I should be able to get another 10-15 rounds in before ... before ... and please no comments from the I'm-not-sure-if-I-live-in-Mexico-or-California gallery.

I shot 2 over on 10 holes yesterday.... wasn't too bad since I hit my tee shot O.B on #3 (bye bye brand new prov1 ) and 3 putted a green. But other than that it was pretty good 9/10 GIR and 4/7 fairways .

I hit the second most GIR today during a weekly noon game at Bountiful Ridge. I had 4 birdies (3 on the back). We won the back and 18 in the team Chicago tournament. Our +15 on the back is probably a record hehe.

Here is the round

I was 1 under through 10...got lots of pars on the front.

Check out the round. One of these things is not like the others.

Well I played the past 2 days....came back to reality with a 92 & 89 after a wonderful 10 days in the low 80s. 92 @ par 71, 6500 yards(71.2/127).. went out in 43 & other than going +9 on holes 12-15, I played ok... oh well. Yesterday's 89 @ par 72, 6646(71.3/123) wasn't too bad, considering I wasn't familiar with the course. I hit it decently...was around the green all day, but couldn't get it up & down to save my life.

What course in your area could you possible be not familiar with?

Yep.

Long par 3
Hit 3 iron
Missed right
Went into the edge of thick trees/brush
Had a clear swing/path, but hit it about 4 inches
Dropped back about 50 yards
Hit into same thick trees/brush farther away than the first shot
Dropped back about 50 yards
Hit about 8 feet from the flag (great shot over trees/sand)
2 putted for 8
Recorded 5 for UGA adjusted score in computer for that hole hehe

We still won that side in the team Chicago and set a new record (+15). If this were a UGA Am an 8 on a 3 would be tough to take after having a good score going all that time. I got a 5 a few years ago on that hole to miss qualifying by 2 strokes for the biggest tournament of the year.

Wink

I played with the Bountiful Ridge gang at Valley View today...first time out with them.

Side games were Animals, Skins, individual Chicago, and 2 man team match play. Had 5 birdies after 11 holes! I had 4 6's that ruined that. Bill and I tied the front, won the back, and won the 18. I won the front and 18 Chicago. Missed a 6 foot sandy putt on 18 to shoot the lowest round at Valley View for the season.

Here is the round. I entered a few pivotal shots.

Another beautiful late October day!

Shot a nice, smooth +6 78 today. After that I played in a 4 man 9 hole scramble and we shot a -6 30. We lost by 1 stroke.

Played in a 4 man scramble. Our team shot a (-5) 65. Hit 12 FiR, 14 GiR, and 27 putts. It was a ton of fun, we left around 5 birdie putts less than an inch from the hole.
