I played on friday at Ponte in my society match. I played poorly in the 9 hole comp in the morning, managing only 11 pts off 14 h`cap. I picked up a horrible snap hook which killed me off the T, even when i did hit a fairway the rest of my game wasnt any kop so a couple of pints at dinner was in order. The afternoon was a complete contrast to the morning, i was much more relaxed and didnt pull any shots, all went straight or a little fade and ended up coming in 2nd with 35 pts, i shot 88 and also won the longest drive which was great.

I had a really shocking day yesterday, I did nothing well and my usually strong iron play was generally weak..... came out probably with an 87 or so

87, and I'm proud of it. Drove the ball like **** and still came out with a decent round. Oh, and I played the Par 3s at 1 over. I'll take it.

With my face completely numb from an early morning dentist appointment, I got in a quick nine that sounds like Ted's. Drove terribly, these weak little draws, pulls, and a notable push that rocketed into a tree trunk only 50 yards from the tee, but still managed a 42. I came within 4 inches of a hole in one on number 9--a pretty little 6 iron that was right on the pin from the time it left the clubface. Made the birdie putt, my second of the day!

Shot 97 on a tough course from blue tees (second-longest set of tees at this course). We should have played the whites, and 3 of us would have, but the 4th guy (who happened to be The Boss) wanted the blues. Factor in high winds, and it was just a hard day. However: We played a $1-per-hole skins game, so that helped us keep our mind off the high 90s we were shooting.

Hi all,

Friday and Saturday were okay, 87 and 91, monday (as previously noted by "Double R") was a 83 (nett 65) and today was the same (83), half the round being with the club pro which is always good.

Only problem is I see on the handicap website that I'm going to lose at least another shot on Friday.....

Cheers,
Jim
